Observance of World Human Rights Day by NSS, JNU in collaboration with DNipCare by sensitizing the NSS Volunteers on Palliative Care




National Service Scheme of Jawaharlal Nehru University in collaboration with DNipCare observed World Human Rights Day on 10th December 2014 by sensitizing the NSS volunteers on Palliative Care.  

Prof. Sudha Pai, Rector inaugurated the program.  Dr. Deepak Srivastava, Neurologist spoke on Curative and Palliative Care and the necessity of this discipline in the medical arena.  Prof. Neelima Mondal of School of Life Science detailed the causes of Cancer and preventive measures during her talk.  KV Hamza, Gen. Secretary DNipCare presented the community based Palliative Care model implemented in Delhi for long term bedridden terminally ill patients including Cancer patients and Geriatrics with specific connotation on providing right of life and dignity in death through Palliation especially on the occasion of World Human Rights Day.  

Naveen Yadav, CSO also spoke on the occasion.  Virender Singh Bhatti done the compeering of the program.  Dr. MM Kunju of JNU and Mrs. KB Usha, Assistant Professor & Coordinator of NSS, JNU coordinated the program and said vote of thanks.
